AUDIO PRODUCTION BASICS PROJECTS

So far in my Audio Production Basics class we have learned the basics of control with Pro Tools. Pro Tools is the professionally used DAW, and with it we had to create a narrative only using sound with only a city image to go off on.  Here I have concocted a scene of a average overworked underpaid mother who is taking her child to school. She lands in the middle of traffic and decides to relax by listening to the radio. However, the channel she arrives on accidentely releases a rip in the space-time continuum and all Hell breaks loose. She then gets into a car crash and fortunately remains unharmed with her baby. Together the two run away from the catostrophe but find no hope of survival. The mother takes a gun from her purse, and tells her child "I love you" right before she shoots him.

The midterm project for the class was based on extensive research regarding a music producer who has worked with at least 3 different artists upon our choosing. My choice was Robert F. Diggs, more commonly known as the RZA. I tell the story of his upcoming and his founding of the Wu-Tang Clan as well as his latest work The Man With The Iron Fist (2012).

Hey guys! So I have been working on my music as of lately, and thought that I would finish one of the ten billion songs that I start and never seem to complete. Hopefully you all will enjoy and like this new tune I have created. Listen and enjoy! Feedback is always appreciated good or bad!

Getting Started

Not quite sure how all this works, but I suppose one must start somewhere. First and foremost my name is Kevin James and I am a student at The Ohio University. I am in the process of studying Media Arts here and am currently undergoing what is known as "Boot Camp". "Boot Camp" is to get the students' feet wet before actually declaring a major within the program. My thoughts thus far, I love it! Although, I feel that I do not need a "Boot Camp" I am curious to see how it all unfolds.
